This morning, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn unveiled a a 4-month pilot program to expand current food scrap collections from NYC households at six additional Greenmarkets.

A pilot program will allow New York City residents to 堆肥 food scraps at six new Greenmarket locations. New Yorkers will now be able to drop off fruit and vegetable scraps for 堆肥ing at 10 Greenmarkets in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.
